Highmeadow Forge
A simple blacksmith’s studio, in the Endless Mountains of upstate Pennsylvania,
is built into a south-facing hillside. This provides great solar exposure as
well as insulation from earth-sheltering. Precisely designed solar shading lets
in the sun to heat the space in winter and keeps the heat out in the summer.
